My Very First MedaL!

I sound like a first timer tlga! ahaha! I am so astonished to the fact that I won a silver medal yesterday! Ahaha, I couldn't believe that I'm hearing the word CHAMPIONSHIP for the first time! My instructor maybe got surprised that I won but the score was really funny ahaha! secreeet! ehehe! See this picture over here? sa left po! Yep it's Monsour and he's one of my favorite taekwondo jins in the Pinas! Man I saw him in Guimaras when I had my first competition there! whoo and my weight was funny too! ehehe u know why? I competed for the "fly" weight and I lost. My second fight was in San Jose, Antique and I had a bad shot there, and good thing for Honey that she bagged GOLD! Lucky her! So anyways as I was saying Monsour was really tall! He wore a red shirt that time and he could speak bisaya! Wow! Grabe he even asked me kung napano ang kamay ko in bisaya ha! grabe! I got star struck! Ahaha so lemme tell you about my 3rd tournament where I really won a medal for myself...hmm pero before that ala na kaming pera pambayad ng tuition fee ko sa taekwondo..nahihiya me ke Sir Victor dahil pabigat na nga me tapos di pa me nagbabayad sana makahanap kami pera...sana mahaba pa kanyang pasenxa..hehehe. So anyway...

We don't have enough time to practice for the tournament. We practiced for only 2-3 days before the competition and I was scared that I'd almost cry...when we arrived in Gaisano city last Aug. 27, 2005, kahapon, I'm about to pee and the mall was still closed. Prang maiihi na me! But sa wakas the mall opened at dali-dali kaming nagbihis...sobrang nataranta aku...

Pero ang mas nakakataranta e nung dumating ang taekwondo Hunk na c Mr. Japoy Lizardo. Some of my taekwondo mates keep on teasing me nung araw na un. "Inspiration daw". Actually he was nothing to me, I just adore how he plays, his stance, posture his eyes that's all.

Nung competition na I got goosebumps akala ko kalaban ko ung taga Sta. Barbara kasi magaling tlga xa. Pero ok lng naman kasi mabait din nmn xa. Pero ung nakalaban nya ay ung taga Sta. Maria ata. magaling tlga un, nakita ko puro pasa katawan ni Tin-tin tapos ng Laro nila kaya natakot ako. Pero nung turn ko na d na me kinabahan, nagdalasal ako ng itinuro sakin sa Divine Mercy saka todo tiwala sa sarili. Sana di me pinapabayaan. Inaway ko pa nga si Sir na wag ipapirmahan ung poster ko ke Japoy kasi gusto ko ako personally. Ok, so tapos nun prepare na me dahil ung fyt ko nasa court B. Akala ko matatalo na ako nun, 45 kick yung pumasok na point (as usual) pero sa first round walang nakapuntos sa amin. Tapos pinagalitan pa me ni Manang Keith, ung student ni Sir Victor sa Sta. Barbara, palaro player un! Kasi daw, bakit ayaw bumaba ng mga kamay ko, dahil baka masipa ung armor ko! Pawis na pawis ako pero ok lang, lumaban pa rin hanggang sa manalo ako for the FIRST TIME! grabe prang langit ang feeling! Sayang nga lang dahil hindi me pinanuod ng Mommy ko.

Pero I'm soooo happy dahil mabaet ang kalaban ko pagkatapos ng laro, ikinunggratulate na me! Bait nya tlga pramis! Kahit nung second fyt na mabait pa rin ang kalaban ko pagkatapos, kaya I'm not against her winning the title na GOLD medalist. Kaya tapos nun, I rewarded myself with a prized pic with Japoy, parang hindi ako makangiti, pero di rin nagpound ung heart ko, ok lng prang wala lng, pero I got starstruck...I guess kahapon was one of the best experiences na dapat kong ipagpasalamat sa Diyos! PRAISE THE LORD!
